Ethnics In Engineering

So in these two assignments, our class focused on the ethical aspects when it comes to developing projects and testing new technologies.

For the Case Studies presentation, my group was assigned to research the Surfside Condo collapse in Florida. What was very unethical about this disaster, is that the miscommunication between the constructors, the owners, the evaluators, and the residents of the building led to not taking the proper actions to make the building safe to live in.

For the Monsters INC. presentation and debate, my small team researched and complied a slideshow of why the actions of the CEO of the factory were unethical.

I think the knowledge obtained from the assignments will serve to be reference points on what type of testing I will be doing when it comes the manufacturing of my capstone project. That way, when it is (hypothetically or actually) used in the real world it will be secure and safe for operation.

Things happening in my life!

Nothing special... just bought a car seat for my dog. She likes to come with us on our drive to school every morning but she was having trouble staying in her seat. And because we value her safety, we got her a proper seat since she has been in tagging along in more of our rides :)
